What is ISO/IEC 17024?

ISO/IEC 17024 is the international standard for bodies that certify personnel. In the NDT industry, technicians are certified under this standard: UT Level II, MT Level III, and so on. Certification covers competence for a specific method and level, the examination taken, and a regular renewal cycle. An inspection performed on an expired certificate is invalid under both ISO 9712 and most client contracts. ceres-ndt manages this risk from inside the system.
